     Ergon handles, they proved themselves already at the Cape Epic! An extra wide handle-bar for better handle properties (63 cm) and SRAM Gripshift. Fork: Manitu Minute 100-130 mm, a solid thick fork with sufficient flexibility. Without flexible fork we will not start. For the time being we choose this fork. It is still in the testing stage. Brakes: Magura HS33. Chosen for security. With ceramic brake-blocks the HS 33 is a reliable brake under all circumstances. For the sheer descent there will be a train brake. The Abel Tasman. The tandem is called after the Dutch ship that reached the coast of Australia about 400 years ago. In connexion with the 400 years existance of the relation between Australia and the Netherlands, the bike is called the Abel Tasman. It is namely the first Dutch tandem who will participate in de race! Tyres, SCHWALBE, RACING RALPH 2.40. Good, nice and wide allround marathon tyre. During the beach prologue we will use the SCHWALBE BIG APPLES. Rear derailleur SRAM X-9. Switches flexible and already made a statement in the tandem world.
